    • I'm 23 and was in 5th grade when my teacher started reading it to the class. So 3rd graders would be 21 at the time the first book was released.

      • i turned 21 at the midnight premiere. the books became available in the US in '98, but didn't become popular until '00, really. that gives kids my age anywhere from 8 and older to start becoming fans. sorry to say, but steve's kinda got a point.

    • Either you don't realize that the first book came out 14 years ago, or you're terrible at math. If you're 21 now, the first book came out when you were roughly 7 or 8, which, at least where I grew up, is definitely not 6th grade.
