    cfreymarc if it's a long gun (i.e. not a pistol/revolver) that doesn't apply. Hence people selling their old rifles at flea markets. Learn your laws.

    cfreymark, i reiterate, especially as i've been present at several legitimate purchases of firearms both pistol/long gun it doesnt apply. Pistols HAVE to be registered, long guns do not. This includes what geniuses like you refer to as "assault weapons." (No I'm not talking about Fully automatic Title Three weaponry either.)

    If it is an actual firearm, unless it is a parent to child transfer, it needs to be transferred via a federally licensed FFL gun dealer.
