Calc is not that tough. It is the asshole profs and their fancy formulas that make it difficult.
Understand it, or be able to do it? One lends itself to the other but is not required to.

Let's just say that as drugs approaches its limit you get within epsilon of understanding calculus but you don't quite reach it.
