  • Highlight reel: You missed a comma at "yes, that semicolon". You misspelled "statements" and failed to end with a period. It is acceptable to begin a sentence with a conjunction; your elementary school teacher was wrong. Finally, in this instance, a comma is acceptable as well as a semicolon because the two sub-sentences are short and have similar structure.
