Although if he's not spinning records and working 1s and 2s It would seem to me he's not a DJ. DJs don't use laptops, those are mash-up artists.

Wikipedia does not lie and wikipedia says nothing of being a DJ, and the instrument is a laptop. no records/scratching. he just strings a bunch of random songs together to make hipsters have their own kind of unique, AKA terrible, faux hiphop//classic rock songs sped up with random beats added in.
he's definitely not a dj. he creates music that is (for now) legally his own under the "fair use" copyright law, and performs it for audiences. he doesn't alter it on turn tables or his laptop. he is an artist who creates and performs his own music.
