I'm OLD and I still like Sublime. (and, I am a woman who works in a professional atmosphere...not that it makes a difference) The movie you're referring to is based on a book written by Hunter S. Thompson, one of the most brilliant journalists of all time. Fear and Loathing is an extremely accurate portrayal of HST, and FUNNY as HELL. Sounds to me like someone is either a pretentious asshole and/or doesn't know how to have a great time. I'm betting it's both. Your loss.

I love Sublime. I love Thompson. I love marijuana.... but something in me says that OP did the right thing. Call it a hunch, having been in many houses that are exactly like that.
