  • I'm pretty sure alcohol affects the number of pregnancy tests purchased.

  • Probably not, but the kid is going to be retarded.

  • I don't think so. Pregnancy tests check hormone levels. I don't think alcohol affects that.

  • As a smart person here, alcohol does affect pregnancy tests. Normally makes them positive.

  • i had that same question the other day! and no one could answer it. =( does anybody know???

  • I'm pretty sure alcohol isn't good for the future degenerate you may be carrying.

  • Yup lot's of professionals read this. My friend is a licensed therapist and I'm a neuroscience researcher. Believe it's still hilarious and definitely makes me feel better about my life! And no of course it doesn't influence the accuracy of the test. Here's hoping if your asking the question it turns out negative.

  • Yes, physicians do read it. Me and my partners laugh our asses off to this site all the time. But seriously, alcohol will not effect the amount of HCG (pregnancy hormone) in your urine, or the way it bonds to the anti-HCG antibodies on the pregnancy test. Sorry.

  • In a manner of speaking, yes, of course it does. But in the way YOU'RE thinking? No.

Submitted by Anonymous on Sep 2, 09 at 3:10pm
  • No it does not, but save the celebratory thank-god-it's-negative shot until after you take the test.
