Not everyone who lives in Dallas is a redneck. I dislike how people think we ride horses to work, and live in traiers. Dallas is probably one of the most refined, liberal, and artistic cities of the south.
I definitely agree that a handful of morons ruined the stereotype for the entire state. I grew up in RURAL Texas and had land and horses and a tractor and all that. I live in downtown Austin now and don't really see a big difference between most of the people from where I grew up, the "city folk" here, and my family from New York and Chicago.

I am a non inbred, non racist, quite educated person who considers himself a redneck. I have been in other countries and was a liberal until experiencing living in poverty in countries like Denmark, France, etc.
