UTIs can be caused by any number of things, and prevented with proper hygiene and voiding the bladder after any sex act. it's also possible that a girl/woman will get UTIs no matter what she does because she is prone to them. sugary lubes and oral sex can also cause UTIs. what we need is to teach hygiene and give our daughters guidance. letting them figure these things out on their own is not going to help them.
Seriously, if an adult walks into a sex store and buys a vibrator how the fuck is anyone going to know it's for someone else. Its not like you sign a document that says you will not give it to anyone under the age of 18.

it's solicitation of a sex act with a minor to buy your daughter a vibrator. you can be charged and registered as a SEX OFFENDER for "ponying up the bucks for a nice one." unless oprah is bailing you out of that somehow, save it for her 18th birthday gift.
teach her how to use the shower head, or daddy's toothbrush (especially if you're divorced, wink wink), and move on.
