Any dude who's ever shaved his junk should know better than to ask his partner -- whether one-night-stand or longterm relationship -- to shave her area. I shaved my junk once a few years back, and holy mother of fuck, it itched for days! Since then, I've never asked a partner to do any crotch landscaping.
Either wax or simply groom, a theory applying to BOTH SEXES BOYS!! If you're concerned about prickly hair, try conditioner (seriously, why not?). If you're with someone who still isn't satisfied and thinks he can do better (literally), then let him go do better.
Shaving is seriously not that big of a deal. You just gotta practice at it. I always shave and my guy shaves too so I think I'm blessed with that courtesy. I expect guys to be at least well groomed down there.

LANDING STRIP is the way to go, my boyfriend loved it.. He said i'm more of a woman now... its true tho, dont let it get wily coyote on him, keep it trim and soft.. we're not in high school anymore, and i def dont want to look like a 8 year old. And guys, keep it trimmed, we dont need to floss with ur pubes.
I think shavin' it off is cleaner then trimming or leaving it grow in and just washin it.

It's ridiculous for any guy to "expect" it, from my POV, you're lucky to just be down there buddy!!! I agree that trimming is nice for both parties. I get waxed and trim between waxings, shaving down there every few days would drive me crazy. When waxed hair grows in, it grows in thinner and it doesn't itch!! And for the love of god, get a pro to do or you'll hurt yourself ladies.
Well, at this point I'm young so not shaving or waxing, I only trim, but in the future I think I'll get it waxed, and what the f*** to you people who say shaving doesn't do anything, it's itchy and HURTS, maybe I just have sensitive skin though.. But I don't think it's right for any guy to EXPECT it, but then again I only like nice guys :). And on the topic of guys getting it done, personally I like my guy to have hair, leave it how it is, if it was hairless I'd burst into laughter.
Never shaved and never will. If I pulled some dippy broads pants down and she was shaved bare...I'd nut in her mouth and be on my way. I'm not hittin' a bald hatchet wound.
