  • Well, to be honest it is 9TB of porn, the rest of the space is designated for pirated movies, random pictures of hot girls or not hot wildebeests, and storage for cheat sheets or the answers for various otherwise impassable tests.

  • @Dmoney You're calling frat guys losers and your name is "dmoney" If I had to guess I'd say you're the douchebag that can't get laid

  • That is a lot of porn.

  • Better solution: don't host the porn on a server and just have a external hard drive for it.

  • Not the porn! Nooooooooo!

  • Unless you are very close to filled, data on a drive doesn't make it slow. Lots of access could make it slow. Lots of downloading/saving new files could make it slow.

  • Hahaha I set up a frat server at my chapter house this semester, so far no massive amounts of porn, but there's a shitload of music, movies, and games. Great investment in my opinion

  • Agree with Kin_in_in. The server isn't slow because of porn, even a lot of it. You would just fill up the drive. 99% sure you need more RAM. But, a lot of access could slow the whole system down too and there would be several other reasons for that. Damn, I am way too serious about this porn stuff....

    • If it has a lot of people accessing video that's stored on it, I'd suspect network slowness. The NIC in the server and all the switches, routers, etc., carrying network traffic should be Gig-E (1000BaseT) for that application.

      • I always had a feeling you were an IT guy lawn. Ya its definitely the network, too many people running around on it and stressing the router and its protocols or switch you have in place.

  • Yeah, frat guys would need that much porn because they are such douchebag tool losers they can't get laid.
