    @9:04, yes, it is 3 days, because Christmas was on Friday, and then you have the weekend off, and then it's 3 days till New Year's Eve, when you're off again.

    Or, you're a government worker in Canada, and got Monday off because Boxing Day fell on a Saturday. Then you work Tuesday, Wednesday, and a short day on Thursday, and another long weekend!
