I don't know anyone that thinks using AIM is childish. I still use AIM via Trillian. These don't have to be funny. They can be interesting or just plain awesome. This one fails entirely.
I agree 3:19(1)!! Lol I came to college and my roomie never had aim til college so she was on it all the time!!! I thought it was so odd since I used it mostly in middle school! Fbchat and gchat are the way to go! No need to remember what stupid buddy name goes to which friend!
No love for Windows Live Messenger & Yahoo! Messenger? AOL provides terrible software, at least in my experience. I have an AIM account because a small group of friends wanted me to, but I use Meebo to log into it. Btw, I don't think that the instant messaging serivnce you use has any bearing on your age or maturity, it seems to me like more of a regional thing.
wow....my roommate and i IM each other when we're not even ten feet away from each. who cares if ur roommate uses it...at least they have someone to talk to apparently
i'm in college and i use aim, fb chat sucks and never works. aim always works, half the people who say they haven't used it since middle school are probably 14 :)
I had no idea AIM was for "middle schoolers". Sorry, I just thought it was the most convenient way to keep in touch with friends and family. MY BAD.

this is so stupid everyone uses aim it's how people ichat with macs not everyone has a skype. plus skype sucks...this is such a fail TFLN puts up some of the worst texts sometimes. i've sent like the funniest texts in that are real and they don't get put up. ridiculous.

yea... agreed with 7:06. fb chat is so bad that you have to resort back to AIM. and not everyone has skype yet to convert to just that. nothing wrong with aim
