Also, can't we all agree that as long as "smoke" is in the phrase, whether it's followed by up, down, out, in, or sideways it's all about getting high, and thats sweet.
In SoCal we say "smoke out" but i really dont think it makes a difference. people get what you mean no matter how you say it. but this shits awesome! i was smoked out when i was in middle school by my cousins friends. it was the shit.
Not that it seems to matter much, but doesn't it seem reprehensible to do that to someone so young? Wait til Freshman Year or something. Kids can't handle this stuff like we can.
Smoke up was always in reference to yourself
Smoke out was always in reference to giving someone some weed to toke with you

How you going to say what the proper term is? It's slang you assclown, most likely regional. Modesto isn't that far from The Bay and all I ever heard was smoke out growing up.
