Oh yeah they do! I cried and cried to persuade the cops not to shoot my puppy... A cop not even involved in my arrest let me put the leash on her and he drove her 45 miles to the closest animal shelter. When I got out, 5 days later, it was the last day the shelter would keep her alive. Rescued dog just in time! Leave dog at home! Take my word for it, dude.
