He's a drummer/guitarist/bassist. I'm a pianist/percussionist. We both sing, so we got the "vocals" down too. ;-) And yeah, neither of us have ever had better partners. If it weren't for gigs, we'd never leave the house!
In my own experience... drummers are the best with their hands, woodwinds are horrible kissers, and trumpet players all think they're the biggest (but in their defense they're good with their mouthes). And horn players are good with the hands and mouth.
Logically, double bassists. Thicker strings, so more strength but the same agility in the fingers.
That said, I'm a violist, and yeah, we're just fucking brilliant at everything.
