Privacy Policy

Summary
Texts From Last Night is a public archive. We don't have user accounts, and you don't need to sign in or submit anything to read the site. The only data we collect is anonymous analytics through Google Analytics so we can see roughly how many people visit and which posts they read.
What we collect
We use Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies (named _ga and _ga_KV2WYTSLS5) and collects:
- Which pages you visit and how long you spend on them
- Approximate location (country / region / city) inferred from your IP address
- Browser, operating system, and device type
- How you arrived at the site (referrer URL)
We do not collect your name, email address, or any account information — there are no accounts.
How we use it
Aggregate analytics help us understand which content people enjoy and improve the site over time. Data is processed by Google on our behalf in accordance with their privacy policy.
Third parties
- Google Analytics processes the data described above.
- DigitalOcean hosts the site and may keep server access logs (IP, request path, timestamp) for operational purposes.
Your choices
- Browser controls: You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking the
_ga/_ga_*cookies prevents Google Analytics from tracking your visit. - Google Analytics opt-out: Install Google's official opt-out browser add-on to disable GA on every site you visit.
- Do Not Track: We honor browser DNT signals where supported by Google Analytics.
