There are fucked up parents in every generation, and no one ever mentioned her being on any soft of welfare. You've already assumed that her parents are caring for her child, maybe they take care of expenses as well. The use of the words "often" and "drunk ass" kind of leave the impression that this is not a single mom taking her occasional night off to enjoy a nice glass of red wine. Those words mean she's drunk. A lot. And has a child to take of. Nothing against parents enjoying nights out, but damn.

In fact most of the neglectful drunk moms I've ever encountered are older women. Just because someone is young does not mean they are not capable of being a good parent. Because they are affecting a whole new generation who will grow up to be just like them. I do have a problem with fathers as well. Maybe my biggest issue is this is in my area code, a fairly small area also. Lots of wastes, drunks, and terrible parents. When my job supports her children and her drinking habits then I worry about their terrible choices.

haha i feel this way everytime I go out back home, i graduate in 06 and over half of my class has kids, some have 4 kids and like 5 are now pregnant and a few drink more than i do and im 21 with no boyfriend or kids
Kids sleeping isn't even an excuse. I would never drink if I'm home alone with my kids. What happens when they wake up sick in the night and you need to get to the store for medicine or, even worse, get them to the hospital. People without kids don't think of these things.
Believe it or not being a single young mom is nor easy. Having a few drinks while your child is sleeping does not necessarily make someone a bad mom. Stop being so fucking judgemental and worry about your own lives.
I don't think there is anything wrong with parents going out every once in a while. Espically if they are with their dad, or grandparents. Their life didn't end when they gave birth. Just dont get drunk or do anything stupid while the child is with you...and dont go out every weekend, or more then 1 time a week.
Ok, there is something about a mom that drinks and parties more times then having their kid. I have 2 and i go out maybe 2 times a month. Does that make me a bad mom? I mean i am young, and i do deserve a fun life too. They are with their dad when i am out, but i never do anything bad to the point that would be an embarrassment to my kids or myself.
stay home and do nothing for a whole year. no friends no going out no one to talk to no b/f or g/f visits and see if you dont go crazy and want to go out sometimes

I'm a guy and this goes both ways. Those dead beat fucking dads need to get smacked too. I can thinking of nothing more in life than to spend time with my child and help him grow. People that are too self centered to see the amazing thing that is their child's life, deserve to be neutered or spayed
My cousin is like this. Dumps her 4-month old on her mom so she can go out and get hammered. She was the one who poked holes in the condom to have a baby, now she acts like she doesn't even want it.

1:40, its not pushed off if their father gets them every other weekend. I have full costody but there are good fathers out there that do get their children every other weekend. But there are parents out there that don't deserve to have their children because they party way to much!

I have a problem with the fact that no one ever thinks to say this to any of the men that don't have anything to do with their children at all. For all you know the girl could be a fine mother who likes to unwind once her child is asleep. Why are people so worried about the way others are living their lives?
My ex started drinking heavily recently, now goes out to bars to get drunk and laid, with her two kids at home with a sitter. Sad. Last time I tried to talk to her about it she nearly took my head off :(

Has no one thought that maybe this mom has split custody of her child so she has free time when she goes out to party? My ex has our child 50% of the time and I like to enjoy having every other weekend free. Nothing wrong with that.
Tell her. Ive done it on more than one occasion. nothing beats the crushing realization on their face when they remember they are bad parents. I live for those moments.
