3:08PM is right. Get the strongest rubbing alcohol you can and salt. Rinse with hot water. Dishwasher soap is harsh on glass and can give a bad taste. Resin literally wipes away.
if you want resin 4 desperate times (many of us been there without a doubt lol) AND a clean bong...my boy used to put his bong in the microwave..then all u gotta do is scrape out the resin..THEN u can put it in alcohol..

Unfortunately, the dishwasher will put extra stress on the glass so it will be more prone to break the next time you drop it or knock it over. Also, it depends what kind of material your bong is made out of, as well as the quality of the glass (if its glass). I have a pyrex one that will go in the dishwasher no problem, but I wouldn't want to try this on the hand blown one I got in Mexico.
