It can't be cured, but HPV can go away on its own. So, yeah, she's kinda' right. The lesions can be removed (but it's not a fun procedure).

1:18, WTF! You're supposed to leave smart-ass messages, not actual helpful advice. Get with the program!

1:41 and 5:54 is right. Visit the CDC website....it's very helpful. Then again, so are condoms.

Genital warts can be removed by a physician, however treatment is not always successful. Creams, freezing, and surgery can be used. Genital herpes on the other hand can not be cured

Statistically, if you've been with more than 3 people you have been exposed. And most of the time, your body can clear itself of it on it's own. But, shit doth happen.

  • Submitted by Anonymous on Jul 1, 09 at 12:42am

some people carry the virus and don't even show it.

  • Submitted by Anonymous on Jul 1, 09 at 12:07am

not sure whats worse... the fact that 12:02 knew to get a tick remover or the fact that i just googled it.... hmmmm

  • Submitted by Anonymous on Jul 1, 09 at 8:54am

There are about 100 different kinds of HPV - only 3-4 of them are cancer causing for woman. The shot prevents this. Stats say that something like 75-80% of people will catch some strain of HPV by the time (and prior to for the retards) 40 years old. Of everything out there you could catch - if you have to catch something HPV is probably one of the better ones.

  • Submitted by Anonymous on Jul 2, 09 at 5:54pm

1 41 IS THE ONLY RIGHT ONE. hpv can go away usually. your body fights it in like 2 years. its not like herpes. its not as big of a deal as peope think

  • Submitted by Anonymous on Jul 1, 09 at 1:41pm

Depends if it's Herpes of HPV. Herpes cannot be cured, but the body can naturally fight off HPV given enough time. 90% of all HPV cases are cleared by the body in 2 years.

  • Submitted by Anonymous on Jul 1, 09 at 12:01am

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHHA retard

  • Submitted by Anonymous on Jul 1, 09 at 12:12am

Actually HPV can last up to 8 years, and leads to AIDS. So it infact is a big deal.

  • Submitted by Anonymous on Jul 1, 09 at 1:42am

take things seriously much 1:29? chill

  • Submitted by Anonymous on Jul 1, 09 at 12:01am

Sounds like both of them deserve HPV.

  • Submitted by Anonymous on Jul 1, 09 at 3:30am

If you get the Gardasil shot before you are exposed it prevents 2 different types of cervical cancer and 2 strains of genital warts.

  • Submitted by Anonymous on Jul 1, 09 at 3:09am

  • Submitted by Anonymous on Jul 1, 09 at 12:47am

12:28 Sounds like they're reading from Web,md 12:41 Sounds like they're trying too hard.

  • Submitted by Anonymous on Jul 5, 09 at 9:24pm

I feel weird having a medical conversation on here, but 2:07 is right! I, too have only been with one person and got HPV...and cervical cancer...and a few warts. It's not a huge deal. Just embarassing. My gyno actually removed the warts, which I feel like everyone should know, hurt worse than the procedure to remove the cancer from my cervix!

  • Submitted by Anonymous on Jul 1, 09 at 2:52am

That's why women should get tested every year, or ideally twice a year once you know you've contracted it. 90%+ of the population gets it and most people never know - the cancer causing strains don't cause warts.

  • Submitted by Anonymous on Jul 1, 09 at 12:41am

Sounds like 12:28 speaks from experience.

  • Submitted by Anonymous on Jul 15, 09 at 2:28pm

condoms cant fully protect from genital warts. they can be spread from the skin to skin contact above the condom.

  • Submitted by Anonymous on Jul 1, 09 at 2:53am

Yeah I'm pretty sure everyone who has had sex has been exposed to it. It used to be like 1 in 5 people had it. That was like 15 years ago though. Women should at least get that shot to prevent cervical cancer I guess. Better than AIDS right? And most of the other shit can be cured with antibiotics. It's a shame really, that people are either so ignorant and uneducated or that they are full aware and just don't care and decide not to use condoms anyway.

  • Submitted by Anonymous on Jul 1, 09 at 1:36am

    Consider yourself infected!

  • Submitted by Anonymous on Jul 1, 09 at 2:07am

You don't have to be sexually promiscuous to get an STD. You people are not very well read. I had sex with ONE person and got hpv.
