    • Actually, the distillation process destroys most of the harmful gluten proteins. According to the FDA and numerous celiac authorities, distilled grain alcohol is safe for celiacs to consume. Some people with gluten allergies are not able to tolerate even that small amount of residual gluten, but many are.
