  • Please advise me how an electrical fire smells much different than any other fire?

    • Hot copper, burning rubber (wire insulation). Generally hot metal and ozone. It is a noticeable difference from say... Paper.. Wood.. grease. Plastic can be similar.

    • an electrical fire smells like smoke, burnt plastic, rubber, metallicy aroma. Smells much different than wood or paper. Imo it smells much worse than any other fire...

      • Didn't think about it. I remember things by smell and couldn't conjure up that smell. Wonder how OP managed.
