        • I still say depends, it does not take much to break a bone. If he broke the vertebrae relativly clean and didn't move without a neck brace his brain stem could only swell. But swelling is the real enemy...other than stupidity. I hope it was a freak accident and not "Hey guys watch this! I saw it in looney tunes!"

  • Early high dose steroids can help to stave off paralysis in some cases. It's important to stabilize the spine an skull in whichever position he fell.
