785 can be almost any kansas town in the north half of the state. In this case, however someone from the southern half of the state (620) lost his car.. the next day he texted someone who has a phone number from the northern half of the state (785). while there are still more area codes in kansas, these two cover the most land area in kansas.
It doesn't say s/he was drinking and driving. The other person was driving and it doesn't say they were drinking...
But I want to hear the end of this story!
the car was found 2 days later at the banks parking garage, keys in it, driver side door open, battery dead, and i am grounded until school starts up again in August.
620 also covers moscow, liberal, plains, kismet, hugoton and a whole lot of other small towns. and i don't even live there. why do people always assume that this happens in their town just because it has the same area code and the one who posted this clearly said it happened in hutch.
Wichita is 316 (suburbs have some 620), 785 is northern KS, but who the hell knows where all these two were traveling to/from!!! Sounds like a fun night, with a lot of regrets!!! Awesome!!!!
waaait...so no one here is concerned with the fact that this dude was drinking and driving?
