    • Because you can get UTI's from having lots of sex, but it's only because sex pushes bacteria into the urethra. I agree it's idiotic, though. You can get them randomly and for no real reason.

  • Always pee after sex, you don't necessarily have to wash it right after but you should as soon as you can. But always pee. And cranberry juice only helps prevent uti's, it doesn't cure them. So drinking a lot of it after you know you have one is kind of a lost cause. Just sayin.

    • It doesn't have to be cranberry juice...also make sure that it's not cranberry juice cocktail cause that has a lot of sugar and will put your vagina in a worse situation. Anything with a lot of vitamin C is good, even taking a supplement, because its acidic.

    • 2 Cystex 3 times daily. Drink only water... lots of water, you can add a splash of lemon juice if you like. Nothing sugary.

    • Washing your vagina after sex is one of the WORST things you can do. Soaps/douches irritate the urethra, causing it to swell. When it swells, it retains bacteria, causing an infection.
