Most of you know sbsolutly nothing about Greek letter organisations. I don't even drink and I'm in one!!! If you are going to talk about how bad they are then you should at least experience them. They are more than parties. And here the athletes throw more parties than Greeks do.

I know it may not change many people's opinions about sororities, but there are, just like anything else, several out there that are not focused on parties, alcohol, and buying our friends. My particular chapter genuinely enjoys raising money for our philanthropy, as well as helping out in the community. I cannot speak for all chapters of all of the sororities out there, but I can say that the girls I have met through my involvement with it I may not have otherwise met due to different majors, living a
um do you guys realize that MOST of the initiation stuff is fake? the only thing that my sorority did was make us take shots blindfolded on the first day.

Sororities are bull shit... I would only join a non collegiate one because it's more publc service and less snobbery... Plus you might not even get into a college sorority because of some bullshit grades... But it's less about looks I've come to realize... I'm like waaaayy prettier than some of the girls in the sororities where I giro school!!
It depends on the school. Some schools want you to have been on campus for at least a term/quarter/semester before you join a Greek organization. Where I went we had Rush during Winter term (so in Jan.).
